RUW Celebrates National Charter Day

Royal University for Women (RUW) welcomed at its campus members of the Shura Council and  Parliament in a lively discussion with the students.  The event held in celebration of the anniversary of the National Charter witnessed the participation of RUW students in a dialogue with prominent  politicians including  Fatima Al Kooheji, Hala Ramzi Fayiz and   Dr. Jameela Al Sammak. The leading politicians were welcomed by RUW  President    Prof. Mazin Jumaah , high officials, Deans of the Colleges and students. 

They participated in the discussion on the significance of the National Charter, its subsequent effects on the Kingdom, limitations and future prospects. The special rights given to women were also discussed. RUW students then asked questions regarding Bahrain’s role in the international scene and the specific duties of each of the politicians in their respective committees.

Reflecting on the event, 3rd year Law student   Noora Mohammed expressed her appreciation and admiration for the strides taken by the politicians.

Prof. Mazin thanked the officials for their participation in the event and lauded the open nature in which they answered the questions and how they have set an example for the students to follow with their leadership and important roles within the Kingdom.  RUW reaffirmed their ties with the Shura Council and   Parliament and extended best wishes to the Kingdom, its leadership and Bahrainis on the anniversary of the National Charter.
