Horticulture club celebrates crop harvest

Horticulture club students of Al Noor international School celebrated crop harvest early this week.  25 students of the Advanced Level Biology class as part of their project titled “Organic Farming” have successfully grown plants like broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, tomato and chilly. In a second project using hydroponic system they grew strawberry and cucumber plants.  Both the projects were set up in the school campus itself. This is the second successive year the A’ Level Biology students have undertaken these horticulture projects.

The crop harvest was headed by Dalal Amin and Rawan Jahromi of the A’ Level 3. The harvested crops were handed over to the Director of the school Dr. Muhammad Mashood and School Vice-Principal   Amin Mohammed Ahmed Hulaiwah.  Speaking on the occasion Dr. Muhammad Mashood congratulated the students on their initiative to understand the agricultural practices at a very young age.
