Asian School investiture ceremony held

The Asian School held the investiture ceremony of the new School Council for the year 2016-17 on April 24,  2016. 

The school council members had been selected with great deliberation. Each house was appointed three teachers to counsel and motivate the students. 

It was announced that this year, two School Prefects from each grade would be instituted to assist the School Council. 

The Prefects received their badges from the Vice Principals   Elizabeth Sadan and Antony Xavier. The House Captains and Vice-Captains received their badges from the Principal Molly Treasa Mammon. The Sports Captain and Vice-Captain received theirs from the Assistant Director Lovy Joseph. 

Finally the Head Boy and Head Girl received their badges from the Director Elizabeth Joseph after which the Chairman Joseph Thomas passed the baton of responsibility to the new Head Boy Devarsh Gopal Mehra (X C) and Head Girl Adonna Maria Shibu (X D) wishing them and their team success in the new academic year. The Head Boy and Head Girl, along with the Captains of each house and the Sports Captain lit a lamp to signify their roles as illuminating leaders of the student community. 

They were sworn in with solemnity and decorum, each of them taking an oath to uphold the principles of the school and to be a help and asset to the school. The school band accorded the ceremonial Guard-of-Honour. On behalf of the previous Council, Adithya Verma expressed gratitude for the support given to him and the team in the past year. The Head Girl and the Head Boy also addressed the school. Principal Molly Mammen thanked the previous School Council for their contribution and congratulated the new School Council and advised them to always be aware of their duties and responsibilities towards their alma mater.
