Green Drive at Bahrain NMS-DPS
Manama: NMS – DPS has always linked the life skills into its curriculum, making it more interactive and educative. Students have always actively participated in developing and nurturing school ecosystem.
The whole idea of such drive is to inculcate love for nature among the students. In a recent endeavour children planted saplings of mango tree and also studied the growth of mustard and chilly saplings that were planted by them a few months ago. The students thus ensured that the role entrusted on them – developing the flora and fauna of the school – is fulfilled with responsibility and care.
Grade 11 students also participated in the enriching learning activity, in which they were instrumental in planting capsicum, coriander and mint. They learnt the botanical names of the plants and enjoyed the beautiful amalgamation of botanical science and activity based learning which are the hallmarks of NMS-DPS teaching learning
process.
School Chairman Dr. Ravi Pillai, Managing Director Geetha Pillai and Principal Arun Kuumar Sharma appreciated the efforts of students and the teachers for their initiative for a “Clean & Green” school campus.
