Toppers reveal career goals

Manama : The Indian School Bahrain (ISB) and the New Millennium School- DPS shared the Island toppers in the Class 12 CBSE exam with same marks and percentage-96.8. Jubin Jacob, of the Indian School and Anushka Ashok Mehta, of NMS-DPS scored 484 marks out of 500.  

“I am extremely grateful to the God and my late father, Jacob T.Y, who was an Electrical Engineer in EWA, and my mother Shiny Jacob,” Jubin told DT News. 

“I must mention my deep sense of appreciation to all the teaching staff and the management of The Indian School for their involvement and willingness to prepare me for this task. The academic year had begun with initial failures. I was not even in the top five in my class,” he recalled. 

“It was indeed a hard journey, which could not be completed without the guidance of my teachers and the support of my friends,” he added. Jubin’s family hails from Alleppey in Kerala, India. He is preparing for IIT entrance exam. 

Anushka Ashok Mehta is interested in Computer Science Engineering, and planning to write IIT entrance exam this year. She is the daughter of Ashok Mehta, who was a gold medalist in IIT Mumbai, and Vaishali Mehta, housewife.
