ISB celebrate achievements

ManamaExcited high school students, educators and supportive friends and family members packed Indian School Jashanmal Auditorium  to celebrate the annual academic award ceremony on Thursday. ISB presented medals, trophies and certificates to the high achievers of the academic year 2015- 2016.

The school toppers Jubin Jacob (96.8%), Subhayan Roy (96.6%) Karishma Hemanathan (96.6%), Anirudh Anand Velamore (96.4%), Ayisa Afreen (95.4%), Jil Shah (94.6%),  Aswin Sivarajan (94%) ,  Farha Pallikamath Moidu (94.2%), Kairavi Amit Mehta (89.8%) and Harika Muralidhar (88.6%) were awarded gold medals and trophies. 

‘The prestigious awards earned its reputation on account of the school strength and quality of education that put up a challenging and competitive environment along with an unparalleled standard of examination system,’ said School  Chairman  Prince S Natarajan.  Among the outgoing 12th Graders, seventy four secured exceptional success in AISSCE-2016 and brought laurels to the school. Indian Ambassador  Alok Kumar Sinha, UoB President’s Advisor   Prof. Karumanchi Vizaykumar   and Indian Embassy Second Secretary  Anand Prakash distributed the medals.  A special edition of the ISB Tidings was released by School  Chairman by handing over its first copy to Anand Prakash . ‘Fifteen of the seventeen subject toppers on the island belong to the Indian School,’ said Principal   V. R Palaniswamy in his welcome address. ISB secretary Dr. Shemily P John, EC Members    Khursheed Alam ,  Muhammed Iqbal, Dr. Manoj Kumar,   Saji Anthony,   S K Ramachandran , Bhupinder Singh and   Jayafar Maidani were also present.  

Thirty three 11th Graders exhibited outstanding academic performance and were conferred with gold medals, principal’s honour and merit certificates. A whopping number of hundred and thirty six 10th Graders came out with remarkable achievement in AISSE-2016 with A1 in all subjects and made everyone proud. In addition, thirty five 9th Graders and thirty two 8th Graders obtained A1 grade in all subjects and received their trophies and merit certificates.
