Learning by Doing
Manama: The New Indian School, Bahrain organized Commerce Day for the Class XI and XII Commerce stream students. Believing in the dictum ‘Learning by doing’ and staunchly endorsing the words of the great political thinker Aristotle, “For the things we have to learn before we can do them, we learn by doing them”, the school gave a platform to the commerce stream students to have a hands-on-experience of the commercial world. The event included various competitions such as Ad Tech, Turn About, Quiz Contest and Symposium on commerce in the contemporary world.
The students enthusiastically participated in the events where along with gaining knowledge beyond the prescribed textbooks, they also got an opportunity to set forth their innovative thoughts and ideas and prepare themselves to face the real world of business.
Director and Principal, Dr. V. Gopalan inaugurated the event and applauded the Department of Commerce for organizing such an event. He in his address emphasized on the role of the school in gifting the world its intellectual resources and entrepreneurs. Decked up in formal attire, the students seemed quite enthusiastic and confident to enter the real world of business.
