Kerala Catholic Association annual summer camp 2016

Kerala Catholic Association (KCA) Summer Camp for the year 2016 started with more than 40 kids at KCA. The camp consists of activities that give kids and teens an opportunity for active and healthy summer which offers a unique experience of exploring outdoors, meeting new friends, discovering new interests, and creating memories that last a life time.

The camp started with prayers and lessons from music, art and games. Drawing lessons could enhance their imagination and thinking. Teens enjoyed extempore speech contest in an atmosphere, which is free from tension and stress and cutthroat competition. The children were given coaching in cricket, and other games.

‘More and more games oriented activities are in store’, said  coordinator Prasad Mathew, who is also a musical expert. ‘We love kids, that is why every year they come to KCA and as real mothers, we also enjoy being with them’, said  Juliet Thomas. Magi Varghese, the convener of the KCA Ladies Wing said, ‘It’s  primarily a mother’s responsibility to cater the emotional and basic learning needs of the kids.”

The camp is organized by a team of specialists like Camp Director   T.O Johnson, Prasad Mathew, Juliet Thomas, Magi Varghese, Jomon Joseph, Zonice Philip, Ivin Thomas, Jan Peter, Ann Maria John, and Annette Thomas. The registration is open till July 14 as the camp runs for more than 40 days. The age group of  the participants is 3 to 15.Transportation will be arranged on request with additional charges.
