AMAISB competes in World Scholar’s Cup
Manama : Three AMA International School Bahrain (AMAISB) students qualified and attended the coveted 2016 World Scholar’s Cup in Bangkok, Thailand.
Around 3200 scholars from over 50 countries joined for an extraordinary Global Round from June 26 to 30 .
After hurdling two rounds in the category participated, the following awards were received:
Christy Ilagan : Gold Medal - Top School Scholar and Silver Medal - Top Collaborative Writing
Fadhel Hugo Raheem : Silver Medal - Top Debater
Maxene Nicole Tiu : Silver Medal - Davinci Award
The students were under the rigid training, supervision and coaching of Mr. Jomar Mallanao, Middle School Teacher.
Participants to the 5-day event experienced scavenger hunts, keynote speeches, panel discussions, the signature Scholar’s Ball, and, of course, all the competitive and community-building events that drew them to the World Scholar’s Cup in the first place, from the Debate Showcase to the Scholar’s Bowl.
At the end of the event, every participant walked away with new friends, new discoveries, and very large alpacas.
