The British School of Bahrain 2017 -2018 Registration begins

The British School of Bahrain(BSB) is opening its door for registration for the academic year 2017 - 2018. Registration for Nursery started from 28th August and registration for Reception and to Year 12 begins on Monday 3rd of October. Parents are advised to book early to avoid disappointment as competition for places is predicted to be particularly high this year.

The year ahead promises to be a very special one for the school. The recent release of excellent examination results at A level, BTEC and GCSE has been a cause for much celebration.

These results are proof that the school is living up to its ethos of “Excellence, Responsibility and Individuality.”

The British School acknowledges that the key to their success is a culture of unity and teamwork. It is proud of the fact that it is a truly international school where people of different tribe, religion and nationality are committed

to working together to accomplish something extraordinary. Part of the schools energy is generated by combining so many different strands of the community. This energy is almost tangible in the exceptional learning, boisterous playtimes and state of the art facilities.

A  significant step in the next chapter of the school is the introduction of the international Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme from September 2016. This will run alongside the present curriculum of A levels and BTEC.

Incoming Head of School, Mrs. Julie Anne Gilbert commented “I am particularly delighted that the introduction of the IB programme coincides with my new appointment as Head of School. The aim of the IB - to develop internationally minded people who, recognizing their common humanity and shared guardianship of the planet help to create a better and more peaceful world - exactly matches the ethos of the British School of Bahrain.”
