Tribute to Teachers

The Asian School students paid tribute to their teachers on Teachers’ Day which was celebrated on 5th September, commemorating the birth anniversary of a great scholar and former Indian President, Dr. S. Radhakrishnan.

Students greeted their teachers with flowers, sweets and cards, as they entered the class in the morning. Students Council organized a cultural programme for teachers in the school auditorium. They extended a warm welcome to each teacher with flowers and presented bouquets to the Asst. Director   Lovy Joseph and the Principal   Molly Mammen. Emerald house captain Esther Rao gave a welcome address and Alex Paul of IX E delivered the teachers day speech. They arranged a variety of games, music and dance in which the teachers took part with great enthusiasm and fun.    Susan Joyce, co-ordinator of the junior section thanked all the students for making it a memorable day. Std IX Prefect Vinay Varghese handled the programme with the support of the Events Co-ordinator   Mini Roy. For a change, this year, the students of Std X took the role of the teachers and handled the students of all classes from LKG through Std: IX.
