Bahrain Indian School celebrates Hindi week
Hindi Poem Recitation
Poetry is the rhythmical creation of beauty in words which comes alive through recitation. Bahrain Indian School (BIS) toddlers of Grades I and II presented Hindi poems of renowned and acclaimed poets in their melodious voices. It was a stepping stone for them wherein they got exposure to face the audience and demonstrate their confidence. Recitation of poetry is indeed the platform for honoring the poet and to make that poem a friend for life. Students were excited and enthusiastic. The participants were dressed in casuals. Some of them were also equipped with the props to highlight the theme of the respective poem. This event was fruitful as it gave motivation to the non participants to be part of such competitions and it also helped in bringing children on to the stage thereby removing their stage fear.
Hindi Diwas celebration
Bahrain Indian School (BIS) celebrated Hindi Diwas wherein students demonstrated their love for the language and respect for the poets by reciting poems written by renowned poets such as Jai Shankar Prasad, Harivansh Rai Bachhan and Ramdhari Singh Dinkar.
Dramatic skills were enlivened through the skit presented by them. The teachers delivered speeches thereby educating the children about the importance of the day.
