The New Horizon School celebrates UN Day
The UN Day celebrated in The New Horizon School, Bahrain reinforced the sense of belongingness to one another urging the younger and the old to empower the underprivileged by contributing our knowledge, time, talent and financial resources. Children and staff highlighted the themes of ‘Unity in Diversity’ and ‘We are One’.
The cultural programme included songs and prayer dance for peace. Treasure Hunt, Spot Quiz, Table Topic Contest on UN Day and Creative writing for teachers were conducted. The Head Boy Mohammed Ali Mohammad Abdul Majid and the Head Girl Taniya Elza Soncy took the lead.
The celebration projected the image of Bahrain as the model Mini World with various nationalities who live here sharing one belief ”We are One”. Bahrain witnesses the presence of people from culturally diverse background hailing from different parts of the world.
