Children’s Day celebrated in schools

In India, Children’s Day is celebrated on November 14, on the birthday of the first Prime Minister of independent India, who emphasized the importance of giving love and affection to children, whom he saw as the bright future of India. Schools following CBSE syllabus in the Kingdom joined the Children’s Day celebrations.  Children’s Day was celebrated in BIS with a lot of pomp and show. The celebrations began with the assembly   presented by the teachers.   Principal Dr Heena Rachh addressed the children.   Neethu and Arpita showcased their  talent in  classical dance. 

Tiny tots of Kindergarten walked with innocence and smile on stage to showcase the theme of Retro and Bollywood style and they danced on the Bollywood numbers too.  

To make it a warm and welcoming event teachers along with the Director   Ritu Verma, Principal Dr Heena Rachh and the coordinator Dr Preet Kamal sang a group song which could remind everyone about their  childhood memories.   A humorous skit was presented by the teachers to show various classroom situations.

To entertain the children, the teachers presented a stunning dance number on the stage and the children enjoyed a lot. Last but not the least students had come dressed up on various themes ranging from flowers, fictional characters, and cartoon characters to community helpers. All the children came on stage and showed their talent and creativity through their costume and overall presentation. The event ended with the vote of thanks by Sree Hamsini. Students were given sweets during the break time and they were shown various educative movies thereby making it a great   fun and frolic event.
