Indian School hosted a lecture on environmental initiatives

As part of its UNESCO Environmental initiative, the Indian School hosted a lecture for the students of Class 9 in the Isa town campus.

Hussain Hassan Al Bana, Senior Chemist at GPIC (Gulf Petro Chemical Industries Company) was the guest speaker.

Mr. Hussain in a powerful picturesque presentation simplified the impending environmental disasters awaiting mankind if the environment is not taken care of.

His message was that the environment doesn’t need you but you need the environment.

In his interactive style he explained the carbon cycle, the ozone layer depletion and different aspects of global warming.

The students found the session very informative and were enthusiastic to answer all the queries posted to them on environment.

Principal V. R Palaniswamy presented a memento to the speaker on behalf of the school.

The session was attended by the students of Class 9, staff members and the Head Teacher Usha Jayakumar.
