Indian schools in Bahrain mark Constitution Day
Under the patronage of the Indian Embassy, Ibn Al Hytham Islamic School celebrated the Constitution Day of India.
All the eight Indian schools participated in the event.
A speech competition was conducted among the schools. Indian Ambassador Alok Kumar Sinha was the Chief Guest.
The students of Ibn Al Hytham Islamic School presented colourful performances on the stage.
The Chairman of Administrative Committee Shakil Ahmed Azmi welcomed the guests and Principal Dr. Mohammad Tayyab presented his vote of thanks.
Alok Kumar Sinha delivered his message. Preambles were read and the audience took the pledge.
Indian Embassy Second Secretary Anand Prakash and the Principals from various Indian schools were present in the programme.
With an aim to educate school students about the features of the supreme law of India and to commemorate the day the Constituent Assembly of India adopted the Constitution of India, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) haddirected all affiliated schools to celebrate Constitution Day on their premises.
In a circular issued recently, the CBSE has directed all schools to hold mass reading of the Preamble to the Constitution of India on November 26 to mark the day.
