Asian School celebrates Indian Constitution Day

To commemorate the Constitution Day of India, the Asian School held various competitions on the Indian Constitution and its formation. Students of Std. VI, VII and VIII participated in Poster Making, Album Making, Collage and Elocution competitions.  Students of Std. IX and X participated in Calligraphy where they wrote the Preamble to the Indian Constitution in the calligraphy art form.

A special school assembly was conducted on November 28. Shruti Biju Kumar of Std. X E read the Preamble to the Constitution and the assembled students repeated it as a pledge of allegiance to their country. 

Shona Susan Shaji of Std. X B read out the Fundamental Duties of a citizen of India. A skit was performed by Std. VII D on the importance of carrying out our civic duties and responsibilities to the nation. A power point presentation was made on the Constitution Day, its formation and its significance. 

Vishnu Priya Biju Nair of Std. VIII B, the first prize winner of the Constitution Day Speech Competition, presented her prize-winning speech to the school.

Winners of the Poster Making Competition, Mia Mariam Alex of Std VII A, Sree Varu Radesh Krishna of Std VII F and Shruti Raj of Std VII E were felicitated. 

Principal  Molly Mammen  addressed the school and implored the students to uphold their values and morals, be good citizens and work towards the progress of their motherland as well as their host country.
