Indian School Bahrain celebrates French Day
The Indian School Bahrain (ISB) French Day was celebrated in the presence of Marine Gabana, official from French Embassy and Thomas Boillot from Alliance Française. ISB Principal V R Palaniswamy, vice-principals and staff members were present during the occasion. Around 40 students from Classes VI to X participated in Pencil Drawing and Poster Making Competitions.
In the second phase of the competition around 110 students from Classes VI to X took part in Poem Recitation, Story Telling and French Dish Competitions and French Rhymes. Students from Classes IX & X performed the cultural programmes that included group dances and songs in French. During the closing ceremony, awards were distributed to the winners of various competitions. French Department Head Trevise Michel attributed the success of the event to the support of the staff and the students. ISB Chairman Prince S Natarajan, Secretary Dr. Shemily P John and the Executive Committee Members congratulated the winners.
