Nod for school upgradation
Manama : The Asian School management has announced that permission was granted by the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, to upgrade the school to the Senior Secondary Level, pending approval from the Ministry of Education, Kingdom of Bahrain.
This was announced as the school celebrated its 33rd annual day on December 14 for Grades 4 to 10 and on December 15 for LKG to Grade 3. The chief guest on the first day was Ahlam Al Aamer, Director of Private Education, Ministry of Education. The guests of honour were Om Prakash, Second Secretary, Embassy of India and S. Veera Pandian, General Manager, Al Ahlia Insurance Company.
The chief guest on the second day was Shirley Yateem, Director, A M Yateem Bros. and the guests of honour were Senan Ali Aljabrey, Director of Consumer Protection, Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, and Prabha Ramnath Singh, Chief Executive Officer, State Bank of India, Bahrain.
The new website of the school, www.asianschool.bh , was also launched on the first day by the chief guest, Ahlam Al Aamer, Director of Private Education. The special event this year was a programme conducted by the alumni of the school.
