Rotaract Bahrain organizing Career Day

Rotaract Bahrain, part of Rotary International, is organizing a career day for high school, university students and working professionals. The event was planned in partnership with the Applied Science University and will be held at the university campus in Al Eker on Saturday 4th February, 2017 from 3pm to 7pm. 

The event will include multiple industry leaders and experts speaking on many topics related the labor market. The first session “Expanding Horizons and exploring opportunities for High School Students” will commence at 3pm followed by “Job preparation for new graduates”, targeting university students at 4.30pm. The event will be concluded with a session on “Developing skills for working professionals that can accelerate your career growth” commencing at 6pm.

On this occasion, the President of Applied Science University – Bahrain, Professor Ghassan Aouad said “Such events will help students develop skills which will help them become more employable”. He added, “Leadership, communication, presentation, analytical, and negotiation skills amongst many others are becoming vital for students to acquire in a fast changing working environment”.

For his part, Mahmood Almohri, Rotaract President said “We aim through this upcoming event to develop interest and spark excitement among the attendees about their career future”. He added, “We are honored to work closely with the Applied Science University on the arrangements of the Career day with the aim to develop the youth in the Kingdom of Bahrain”.
