St Chris excels in DELF Exam

St Christopher’s School students have achieved top results in (Diplôme d’Etudes en Langue Française) DELF French examinations. 

Thirty-five students from the Junior School and forty-six students from the Senior School sat for the DELF French examinations in May at the Alliance Française de Bahreïn. 

The highest grades in Bahrain in all four categories of the DELF (A1, A2, B1 and B2) were achieved by St Christopher’s Senior School students.

Senior School students attended preparation workshops led by Julie Hevia, French Teacher, and Jamel Bazzouz, Head of Modern Foreign Languages, to prepare for the examinations.

The highest grade for A1 was attributed to Thomas Milnes who achieved 94pc. The highest grade for A2 was obtained by Mohammed Shaheen who achieved 95pc. The highest grade for B1 was achieved by Giselle Nascimento Dias who achieved 83pc. The highest grade for B2 was achieved by Noor Hammad who achieved 78pc. Successful completion of the B2 examination satisfies the proficiency in French language requirements to study at French universities.

Junior School Pupils prepared for these examinations during special training in school led by Subject Leader for French, Nassima Chebel. The highest grade for Prim A1.1 was attributed to Iman Khajah who achieved 98pc. The highest grade for A1 was obtained by Sofia Chiavernini and Deena Al Dahwi who achieved 98pc. The highest grade for A2 was achieved by Leila Al Dahwi who achieved 98pc.
