Royal University of Women holds orientation day
Manama : The Office of Student Affairs at the Royal University for Women (RUW) held its annual Student Orientation Programme on 17 and 18 September 2017.
The programme, according to RUW President Prof. Mazin Jumah, is an integral part of welcoming new students to the RUW family as well as a broader plan to provide world-class educational services.
An overview of the services offered by RUW, including extra-curricular activities, student clubs activities and other facilities, were given on the occasion by, Sameeneh Shirazie, Director of Student Affairs.
“RUW provides world-class resources that serve the students and aimed at becoming one of the region’s leading university devoted to the higher education of women,” she said.
Essra Haji, President of the RUW Student Council, detailed the activities planned for the new academic year by the council and extended full support of the student-led body to the
students.
A campus tour and other familiarising activities were also held on the occasion. Students were also provided with an opportunity to meet the representatives of various Clubs and Council as well as Alumnae of the Royal University for Women.
