BIS shines at Chess Championship
Manama : Bahrain Indian School – Bhavans congratulated the winners of the St Christopher’s School open chess championship 2017 (2nd Al Jabal Consultancy Chess Cup) held at St Christopher’s School in association with Bahrain Chess Academy. The school team put up an impressive show by winning 3 medals.
Around 150 students from various schools in the Kingdom participated in the event. BIS’s Priyasruthi of Grade VI achieved second position in the ‘Under 12 category’ (Girls) and Paolo Thomas of Grade II achieved second position in the ‘Under 8 category’ (Boys) while Avran Mathew of Grade IV achieved seventh position in the ‘Under 10 Category’. Winners were awarded with medals and certificates.
