ISB celebrates Kindergarten Sports Day
Manama : The Indian School Bahrain (ISB) held the first-ever Kindergarten Sports Day ‘Colour Splash’ at its campus in Riffa on Friday. More than 1500 students aged 4 and 5 presented colourful drill displays and track events in the Kinder Sports Gala.
Chief Guest Fatima Abdulrazzaq who won gold medal in 2016 Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro inaugurated the event. ‘Students should overcome all difficulties that life could throw at them and face all challenges with determination and courage’, Fatima Abdulrazzaq said.
ISB Chairman Prince S Natarajan, Vice Chairman Muhammed Iqbal, EC Members Jayafar Maidani(Sports), Saji Antony (IT), Principal V R Palaniswamy, Staff Representative Priya Laji, Riffa campus Principal Sudhir Krishnan, Vice Principals Pamela Xavier and Anand R Nair attended the function.
ISB Chairman Prince S Natarajan, who declared the meet open, was all praise for the giant leaps the Riffa Campus was making on all fronts – infrastructure, academic and co-curricular.
The programme which was fully conducted by the KG students won quite an accolade. This event which was witnessed by over 3000 parents and visitors was the first ever in the history of the school where a Sports Day was organized for KG students exclusively. The tiny tots under the guidance of their teachers went through a month long training and practice sessions to make this event a grand success.
Riffa campus Principal Sudhir Krishnan congratulated the entire team at Riffa for making such a great show possible and the very cooperative, understanding and helpful parents of the school who are working hand in hand with the staff for excellence in education.
