Festive Fayre at St Chris

The annual Festive Fayre is organised by the Friends of St Chris (FOSC) as the St Chris School’s main fundraising event. It is very well attended, and has seen in excess of 5000 visitors from across the wider Bahrain community come together in recent years. This is a huge event on the St Chris calendar and, as a not- for-profit school all the proceeds are used to further develop and enhance the school facilities.

The Fayre opens with the celebrity appearance of Santa arriving in style! Children can enjoy visits to his grotto throughout the day, where they are treated with a chance to speak with the man himself.

Visitors from the local community come together in supporting this annual event, which is fully staffed by volunteers. The School is always pleasantly overwhelmed with the show of support from the local and wider community.

Over 80 vendors will be offering all sorts of items, activities and festive gifts from around the world, with home baked treats such as cookies, gingerbread and cakes also on offer.

Children of all ages enjoy a variety of activities, and the raffle is always very popular with hundreds of visitors gathering in the School Hall to hear the winners names called out at the end of the day.
