ISB wins Al Mahd Inter-school Debate

The Indian School Bahrain (ISB) has won the Al Mahd Inter-school Rolling Trophy in the XVIII Al Mahd Inter-school Debate organized by Al Mahd Day Boarding School at its Saar campus premises.

The following were the winners: 

Juniors Group: 

1. Nanditha Dileep - The Indian School, 

2. Faiha Mariam Shameer - The New Indian School, Bayan Abdulla Ali Abdulla Slais - Al Mahd Day Boarding School, Samaheej, 

3. Omaima Mosharaf - Al Mahd Day Boarding School, Saar, Merin Elissa Sam - The Asian
School.

Seniors Group winners: 

1. Liya Ann Mathew - The Indian School, 

2. Kizhakoot Gopika Babu - The New Indian School, 

3. Shahd Ali Abdulla Mohamed Ateeq - Al Mahd Day Boarding School, Saar, Fatima Shafqat - Pakistan Urdu School.

Forty eight participants from fourteen top private schools of Bahrain, including the host school, hotly debated on the following topics: Junior Group:  Character is moulded at home; Senior Group:  World is safe without media.

The following schools participated: The New Indian School, The Indian School, Al Mahd Day Boarding School, Saar, The Asian School, New Millennium School, Pakistan Urdu School, Al Mahd Day Boarding School, Samaheej, Arabian Pearl Gulf School, Al Rawabi School, Al Wisam International School, Quality Education School, Al Mahd Day Boarding School, East Riffa, New Vision School, Creativity Private School. School Managing Director H. G. Sharma handed over the rolling trophy and prizes to the winners. Chairperson Leena Habib Kassim welcomed the gathering. She underlined the importance of public speaking for pupils and wished best of luck to all participants.
