ISB students get Hero’s welcome

ManamaThe Indian School Bahrain (ISB) Executive Committee congratulated the ISB school team members on winning the overall championship in the Fifth Bahrain School Mini Olympics 2018. ISB Chairman Prince S Natarajan, Secretary Saji Antony, Vice Chairman Jayafar Maidani, EC Member-Sports Rajesh Nambiar, EC Member-Academics Muhammad Khursheed Alam,Principal  VR Palaniswamy,Staff Representative Johnson K Devassy, Physical Education HoD Saikat Sarkar,Vice Principals and the PE  teachers were in attendance.

Prince S Natarajan appreciated the sincere efforts and hard work of each member of the team and the PE teachers. “The secret in winning as a team is the cooperation, coordination and hard work. Since these traits are seen in each and every member, there is no doubt that our school team has reached another great level of success,” Natarajan said.

Saji Antony congratulated the team members on their excellent performance and said   the achievement was possible with the dedication and perseverance of the school team   with a vision.

Totalling   53 medals (18 gold, 17 silver ,18 bronze) the Indian School emerged overall champions at the end of the two-week long  Mini Olympics  organised by the Bahrain Olympic Committee in cooperation with the Ministry of Education. 

The fifth edition of the School Mini Olympics saw over 3,500 students from 58 government and private schools competing in a record 20 sports. Students from various schools from around Bahrain competed in a variety of contests at the Khalifa Sports City Stadium in Isa Town.
