BS wins European volleyball tourney
After a gap of 20 years, the boy’s volleyball team of the Bahrain School (BS) became the European Tournament champions by winning every game in short sets.
The BS team emerged winners in the tournament by beating the Marymount International School by 25-23/ 25-19 and 25-22.
Anas Abed became the VP (the Most Valuable Player) of the team.
The fantastic sportsmanship and teamwork by BS players Anas Abed, Asem Abed and Fadi Aghnim received a standing ovation from the crowd after the finals and at the award ceremony.
The team, coached by George and Janet Wells, also made it to the All Europe Team, whose
members are selected from all the players at the tournament through voting/nomination
by coaches.
After the final game, the team of the Marymount
International School congratulated the BS boys with a hug.
