BSB students shine in DELF French exam

British School of Bahrain (BSB) congratulated its students for achieving best results among schools in Bahrain for the DELF French examination. Last week, BSB senior students Alex Panagis, Yannis Panagis, Fariha Iqbal, Shruthi Ramesh, Hala Jamsheer, Adnan Demachkieh received their DELF French Diploma at the Alliance française in Isa Town.

Co-operation and Cultural Action Counsellor at the French Embassy Dominique Chastres and Director of the Alliance française Christophe Freschi hosted the ceremony. DELF is an official diploma delivered by the French National Education Board to certify the foreign candidates’ competency in French.

DELF is composed with four independent diplomas corresponding to the first four levels of the European Framework of Reference for Languages. It was the first time that students from the BSB enrolled in these examinations. Preparations were held all year during after-class sessions.

More classes will be running from January onwards in order to sit the examinations next June. The Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) department is aiming to increase the number of students enrolling in DELF this year.
