With priorities you have to decide what should go first and last. Some people put off making decisions by gathering information from other people; some will offer their recommendations. Madly some will take decisions by voting or tossing a coin. We can say the most important academic life of a person - class 10 and 12. Everyone will come and ask you what is next and their suggestions and opinions may confuse you and it will make you to take wrong decisions. Here are a few steps that you should focus during your plus one studies.
Goal setting
When you set goals for yourself, make sure that they are important to you, and that there is value in achieving them. Set goals that relate to the high priorities in your life. Goal achievement requires commitment, so to maximize the likelihood of success, you need to feel a sense of urgency and have an "I must do this" attitude. To make sure your goal is motivating, write down why it's valuable and important to you. Ask yourself, "If I were to share my goal with others, what would I tell them to convince them it was a worthwhile goal?" Your dream may be to become a doctor, engineer, farmer or an artist. Mow onwards you should keep it as a final goal.
Timetable
Prepare a timetable by yourself. Make sure that you are giving more time to the subjects, which you feel difficult. The study hours should suit your personal preference. That is if you are a morning person then spent more time on morning than late night. Prepare separate timetable for holidays too. Allow time for recreation, general reading, and household duties. Revise the timetable every month, in tune with practical requirements.
Concentration
Study with concentration without giving way to distraction. Then you will achieve goal. While learning, do it with full concentration.
Good study habits
Duration of the hours that you take for your learning doesn’t matter for the efficiency of your learning. Adopt efficient methods of learning, and by that you can achieve more in less time.
Right style of reading
It is not important that you should read aloud, except for correcting pronunciation or appreciating poetry. Practice silent reading. After reading recollect what you have read. Jot down the points that you understand from the reading.
Numerical problems
Try to solve the problem without reference to the textbook. Use text for clarifying doubts. Then, you would be able to address similar problems later.
Use a dictionary
Refer dictionary when in need. Do not ask someone. Practise right pronunciation of words.
Avoid ‘starting trouble’
Do not think too much on the time when you should start all these. Never keep for tomorrow what you can do today. There is a fine formula that will help us on most occasions — Do it now.
Lecture notes
Make a note of important points mentioned by the teacher during the lecture. Keep eye contact with the teacher in the classroom.
Enjoy examinations
Keep calm and enjoy examinations. Never get nervous in the examination hall. Keep yourself calm and composed. If you have prepared well, there is nothing to worry or to be anxious.
