The competition began with 12 teams competing in Rocket League, a popular vehicular football game, and will culminate on June 27-28. Contestants will vie for a $150,000 prize pool, competing in both Rocket League and TEKKEN 8.
HRH Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Sultan Al Saud, Chairman of the SEF, highlighted the global recognition of the Gulf region's passion for esports.
The finals will feature teams like Kuwait's Xenon Esports, Oman's National Team B, Bahrain's National Team, Unity Esports (Kuwait), and KHK Esports (Bahrain).
Local teams, including Saudi Arabia's Team Falcons and Twisted Minds, will enjoy strong home support. National teams from Bahrain and Oman also underscore the opportunities provided by SEF events for athletes not tied to specific clubs.
