Batelco win first round
Batelco Racing won the first round of the Bahrain SWS Endurance Championship 3 Hours which kicked off on Saturday at the Bahrain International Karting Circuit (BIKC) in Sakhir.
The Batelco Racing team managed to complete 136 laps on the 1414m long circuit, driving the BIKC’s Sodi RT8 13HP 390cc karts, in an intense race featuring 21 teams from Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and Oman. BRM Racing came second, also completing 136 laps and in third place were BBK Racing with 136 laps. In descending order, the rest from fourth to tenth place were: Rainbows 4 Kids, ABC Pro-Ice Racing, Mahla EKT, NU-Square, Blazing Raptors 1, LM Racing and Motorsport Solutions.
The championship was organised by the BIKC, in co-operation with the Bahrain Karting Club, which falls under the Bahrain Motor Federation.
The championship will be made up of three rounds, with the second round on January 30 next year and the third on March 11 and 12, when the endurance race will be 24 hours.
