Khaled Al Najjar shows impressive speed in FIA Karting Academy Trophy qualifying

Bahrain’s rising motorsport talent, Khaled Al Najjar, demonstrated his potential on the opening day of the FIA Karting Academy Trophy at the Slovak Karting Centre in Orechova Poton, Slovakia.

The event is part of the European Championship series. Competing among 47 talented karters, Khaled, the reigning Junior MAX champion of the Bahrain Rotax MAX Challenge, secured 22nd place in the qualifying practice with a best lap time of 54.176 seconds.

He was 1.071 seconds behind session leader Victor Alexandru Rad from Romania, who clocked a fastest lap of 53.105 seconds.

Earlier in the day, Khaled participated in three free practice sessions. He placed 23rd in the first session with a best time of 55.134 seconds, improved to 22nd in the second session with a lap of 54.418 seconds, and finished 24th in the third session with a time of 54.902 seconds. His consistent performance in these sessions set the stage for his best effort in the qualifying practice.

The FIA Karting Academy Trophy, organized by the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA), is a prestigious karting competition featuring young drivers aged 12 to 14 competing in identical karts.

This series offers a platform for emerging talents to showcase their skills on an international stage.

Khaled also competed in the season’s opening event held in Val d’Argenton, France, last April, continuing his journey in the highly competitive karting series.

With his strong pace in qualifying, Khaled Al Najjar is positioning himself as a promising young driver to watch in motor - sport.
