Bahrain Futsal Academy wins Gold at MENA Cup in Dubai

The Bahrain Futsal Academy team dominated at the 2024 MENA Futsal Cup held in Dubai, UAE.

Competing at the Al Wasl Club Hall, the team distinguished itself by securing three prestigious awards: top scorer, ideal team, and fair play, marking a remarkable tournament performance.

A standout achievement came from team player Khalifa Jassim Al-Jibin, who finished as the tournament’s top scorer.

Al-Jibin netted six goals, earning his accolade during the closing ceremony.

The Bahrain Futsal Academy team also earned the Ideal Team Award, reflecting their outstanding performance throughout the event.

This recognition was a testament to their consistent excellence and teamwork, which set them apart from other participating teams.

Additionally, their exemplary sportsmanship and adherence to fair play principles were acknowledged with the Fair Play Award, further cementing their reputation as a model team both on and off the pitch.

The team’s performance was consistently excellent, earning them high praise from other teams and garnering enthusiastic support from Bahraini fans and spectators from various countries.

Player Tamim Buallay ranked third among the tournament’s top scorers with four goals, while goalkeeper Khalid Jassim kept three clean sheets.

This defensive strength was a cornerstone of their strategy, as they conceded only three goals while scoring 11 in five matches.

The Bahrain Futsal Academy team achieved notable victories during the tournament.

They won three matches, including a 1-0 victory against the Brazilian futsal team, a 4-0 win against Ajax from the Netherlands, and a 5-0 triumph over the Ambieri team.

Despite losing one match to the British AGF team by a single goal and drawing 1-1 with Elite from Ireland, their overall performance was enough to make the kingdom proud.
