HH Shaikh Khalid celebrates Bahrain’s historic E-Sports victory

HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee hailed the victory of Hisham Khalil, who clinched the Tekken 8 title at the GCC E-Sports League in Riyadh.

His Highness extended his heartfelt congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, on this remarkable victory.

HH Shaikh Khalid also praised Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, stating that this historic achievement is a result of the unwavering support from the Kingdom’s leadership.

Sheikh Khalid praised the efforts of Hisham Khalil, whose determination and perseverance led to this victory.

Hisham Khalil came out on top in the finals against competitors from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and the UAE, winning 3-0 against the UAE in the final match.

This victory secures Bahrain’s spot in the E-Sports World Cup in Riyadh, with a prize pool exceeding $60 million.
