Bahrain’s journey in the World Cup of Darts 2024 concluded in Frankfurt, Germany, with a 0-4 defeat to Iceland. The team, represented by Basem Mahmood and Duda Durra, faced a challenging match against Iceland’s Petur Gudmundsson and Arngrimur Olafsson. The Bahraini duo struggled to gain a foothold, losing in four consecutive legs.

This defeat marked their second in Group H, following a narrow 3-4 loss to the Czech Republic’s Adam Gawlas and Karel Sedlacek.

Despite their valiant efforts, Bahrain couldn’t secure a win. While Mahmood participated in his second World Cup, Durra made his debut.

Their efforts were supported by sponsors Cuesoul, Buffalo Wings and Rings, and Arabian Bullseye Darts.

The tournament, organized by the Professional Darts Corporation, featured 12 groups in the preliminary stage. Only the top teams advanced to join seeded nations such as England, Wales, the Netherlands, and Scotland in the knockout rounds.
