2 Seas Motorsport impresses in 24 Hours of Spa qualifier

2 Seas Motorsport qualified sixth in their class for the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa, starting today at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium. This race is the second round of the Endurance Cup in the 2024 GT World Challenge Europe.

The team, featuring co-owner Shaikh Isa bin Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Lewis Williamson, Martin Kodric, and Frank Bird, clocked an average lap time of 2:16.444.

This performance placed them sixth in the Gold Cup and 26th overall out of 66 competitors. Frank Bird began the session with a best lap of 2:16.608. Shaikh Isa followed with 2:16.844, while Martin Kodric recorded the fastest lap among the team at 2:15.993. Lewis Williamson wrapped up with a time of 2:16.332. Sainteloc Racing led the Gold Cup qualifiers with an average time of 2:15.901.

They secured a spot in the superpole session, which determined positions 1-20 on the starting grid. 2 Seas Motorsport only just missed a podium in the opening round of the Endurance Cup at Circuit Paul Ricard, finishing fourth in their class. They recently celebrated a win i n t h e British GT Championship, with drivers Kevin Tse and Maximilian Goetz winning the fifth round.
