Bahrain’s Jiu-Jitsu champions take over Thailand

Bahrain’s jiu-jitsu athletes excelled in Thailand, securing four medals, including two gold, in two major international competitions.
Ahmed Al Aradi and Bader Al Doseri clinched gold in their respective categories at the Thailand Open Youth Regional and Masters 2024.
Al Aradi was successful in the men’s over-94kg master two division, defeating Thailand’s Thiradet Neamkunchon.
Al Doseri took the gold in the men’s under-77kg master two class, with Arman Taibagarov of Kazakhstan earning silver and Saifu Ranu of Indonesia taking bronze.
Hasan Mahdi added to Bahrain’s tally with a bronze in the men’s under-62kg master one division.
He stood on the podium with gold-medallist Chu Tuan of Vietnam and silver-medallist Thossawat Akhanithin of Thailand.
In the Grand Prix Thailand Open 2024, Khalid Faraj secured a bronze medal in the adult men’s under-94kg category.
He shared the podium with Adil Rashwan Dookee of Mauritius, while Mongolia’s Gantulga Galsandorj took gold and Kazakhstan’s Ramazan Kussainov claimed silver.
Bahrain’s efforts placed them sixth overall in the Youth Regional and Masters event. The host nation, Thailand, dominated with 201 medals.
In the Grand Prix, Bahrain ranked joint-20th with several other countries.
