Saudi MMA fighter Mostafa Rashed Nada is set to impress his fans during the PFL MENA’s debut season on July 12 in Riyadh.
Nada spoke about the added pressure of performing in front of his home crowd, saying, “People may think competing in your own country is easy.
But actually, I feel less pressure when I fight abroad”. On a 4-fight win streak, Nada will face Algerian fighter Abdel Rahmane Driai.
Training twice a day at his Jeddah club, Al Mokatil, Nada focuses on preparation and faith.
“I train hard and depend on God. This is my opportunity to show the world what I’ve got,” he said. PFL MENA 2 in Riyadh is part of a series that brings top fighters in the region together in hopes of changing perceptions of MMA in Saudi Arabia. “People in the Kingdom see MMA differently now.
The sport has become more professional.”, Nada explained.
Nada hopes MMA will be integrated into school curriculums. With over 20 years of experience and his own academy, he aims to inspire young fighters to focus on their goals and never give up.
“Combat sports changes a child’s personality completely. It gives him confidence and discipline”, Nada said. “My advice to young fighters is to always focus on their goals and keep going.
Never give up on your dreams; no matter how many times you fail, you must get up. I failed multiple times and I still got up and pursued my dreams”, said Nada.
