Qatar will proudly send 14 athletes to represent the nation at the 33rd Summer Olympic Games, set to be held from July 26 to August 11 in Paris.

This diverse team will compete across five sports disciplines: athletics, swimming, shooting, beach volleyball, and weightlifting.

The Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) revealed Team Qatar’s preparations and lineup during a press briefing.

Key figures at the event included Mohamed Issa al-Fadala, Director of Sports Affairs at the QOC; Mohamed Saeed al-Misnad, Chef De Mission; and Abdulhadi alSahli, Press Attaché.

Athletics stars Mutaz Essa Barshim and Shahad Mohamed will carry the Qatari flag at the opening ceremony.

The team includes notable athletes like Abdelrahman Samba, Aboubaker Abdulla, and Fares Ibrahim Hassouna, a gold medallist from Tokyo 2020.

“Our athletes will commence their participation on July 27 and continue competing until the event concludes on August 10,” al-Misnad noted.

The team has been rigorously preparing, with most athletes already training in Europe for optimal proximity to the venue.
