Bahrain has begun reaping the rewards of Khalid bin Hamad’s Golden Generation League initiative.

The Bahrain national cadet handball team claimed the Arab Championship title, defeating Saudi Arabia 30-28 in the final held in Iraq.

The championship, which included teams from the Gulf and Levant regions, saw Bahrain’s cadets deliver an outstanding performance.

The closely contested final match was a testament to the team’s skill and determination, culminating in a well-deserved victory over a strong Saudi side.

This win marks the first significant achievement under the Golden Generation initiative led by Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

The program, now in its second season, focuses on developing young talent through targeted training and support.

It has been instrumental in discovering and nurturing new talents who now form the backbone of Bahrain’s national teams.

The team’s success is also attributed to the excellent coaching of Abdulrahman Mohammed and his assistant Akbar Al Marzooq.

Their guidance has been crucial in molding a squad of promising young athletes into a championship-winning team.
