Riyadh to host futuristic ‘Sport Tower’ following Crown Prince’s approval

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has given the green light to the designs for the “Sport Tower” within Riyadh’s ambitious Sports Boulevard Project, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

The Sport Tower, a stateof-the-art high-rise featuring facilities for various indoor sports, marks a significant milestone in the Sports Boulevard Project. This initiative, led by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, shows the Kingdom’s commitment to enhancing the quality of life through innovative urban development.

Launched in March 2019 by King Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Sports Boulevard Project is a cornerstone of Saudi Vision 2030. This vision aims to diversify the economy and improve the lifestyle of Saudi citizens through extensive infrastructure and community projects. Stretching 135 kilometers across Riyadh, the Sports Boulevard is designed to promote healthy living.

It features green pathways for pedestrians, routes for both professional and amateur cyclists, horse riding paths, and designated areas for various sporting activities. The project not only aims to encourage physical activity but also seeks to create a more sustainable and green urban environment. By providing safe and accessible spaces for exercise, the Sports Boulevard hopes to inspire Riyadh’s residents to adopt healthier lifestyles.
