Saudi Academy’s training camp in Porto

LGSP Sports by Lufthansa LGSP recently hosted a training camp for the Saudi Arabian Winners Football Club in the Porto region from July 9 to 16, 2024.
The camp welcomed 25 athletes from Saudi Arabia and Bahrain to northern Portugal. The training sessions, held in Vila Nova de Gaia, were led by a team of four Saudi and Portuguese coaches.
This initiative aimed to enhance the individual development of the athletes, blending rigorous football training with enriching cultural experiences. Participants visited notable local football clubs such as FC Porto, SC Braga, and Boavista FC. Paulo Geisler, administrator of LGSP, highlighted that these training camps are instrumental in promoting Portugal as an excellent destination for sports activities.
“Portugal offers tranquility and excellent infrastructure,” he said, adding that the initiative supports the internationalization strategy of LGSP Sports by Lufthansa LGSP. The camp also served to introduce Portuguese culture to the visiting athletes.
