HH Shaikh Nasser Crowned Hungarian Champion

His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty’s Representative for Humanitarian and Youth Affairs, has emerged as the champion of the Hungarian International Endurance Race, completing the 120 km course leading the Royal Endurance Team.

This victory marks His Highness’s final preparations ahead of the World Championships in France this September. Former President of Hungary, Katalin Novak, closely followed the race, which saw His Highness Shaikh Nasser triumph in 7 hours, 22 minutes, and 59 seconds.

The race was challenging, with difficult terrain testing the competitors. HH Shaikh Nasser emphasized that this win is a significant boost ahead of the World Championships, where the competition will be even tougher.

He noted that the Hungarian International Race is one of the most challenging on the European circuit, making this victory even more meaningful.

“Hungary International Race is an important milestone ahead of participating in the World Championship, which will be held next September in France,” HH has said ahead of the race.

Praising the organization of the event by the Hungarian Equestrian Federation, Shaikh Nasser also acknowledged the contributions of the Bahraini cadres involved in the event’s organization, arbitration, and technical committees.

He celebrated the strong Bahraini presence in the race, with Royal Team rider Mohammed Abdul Hamid Al Hashemi securing second place and teammate Othman Abdul Jalil Al Awadhi finishing third.

Shaikh Nasser received the first-place trophy from Orshidia Maihok of the Hungarian Equestrian Federation, alongside David from the Hungarian Federation, marking a successful outing for the Royal Endurance Team as they gear up for the World Championships.
