Bahrain Victorious has announced the signing of three young riders as stagiaires for the remainder of the 2024 season. Dutch cyclist Max van der Meulen, Italian sprinter Daniel Skerl, and Belgian Vlad Van Mechelen will join the WorldTour team, with their professional contracts beginning in 2025.
Van der Meulen, 20, joins the team after a successful season with the U23 team CTF Victorious, where he clinched a stage and points jersey at the Ronde de l’Isard.
Skerl, 21, also from CTF Victorious, boasts impressive results including a recent stage victory and second overall at the Ronde de l’Oise.
The 20-year-old Van Mechelen arrives from development team DSM and brings with him a bronze medal from the junior road race at the World Championships.
In addition to the three stagiaires, Bahrain Victorious has confirmed the signing of 18-year-old Slovenian Zak Erzen, who will join the WorldTour team in 2025 after completing the season with CTF Victorious.
The team has expressed its commitment to nurturing young talent and providing a pathway to the WorldTour.
