Bahraini fighters rule the mat in Saudi Jiu-Jitsu Series finale

Bahrain’s Elements Jiu-Jitsu Academy showed an extraordinary level of skill and determination at the final round of the Saudi Jiu-Jitsu Federation Series 2024, held in Riyadh. The event saw Bahraini athletes dominating the mats, bringing home an impressive collection of medals and elevating Bahrain’s reputation in the martial arts world.
In the U77kg category (purple belt - adults), Mahmoud Al Najjar struck gold, displaying exceptional technique and resilience. His victory was followed by his teammate, Mohamed Al Najjar, who secured the silver in the same category, demonstrating the depth of talent at Elements Jiu-Jitsu Academy. Joining him in victory, Salman Khalafan secured a gold medal in the U69kg category (purple belt - adults).
Danial Al Zeera also captured a bronze medal in the U77kg category (white belt - adults), rounding off Bahrain’s remarkable haul. Meanwhile, in the women’s division, Alaa Salah earned a gold medal in the +70kg (blue belt) category and also captured bronze in the open category, further solidifying her status as one of Bahrain’s top female fighters. Abdullah Al Shaikh came out on top in the blue belt category, clinching gold in the U62kg (adults) division.
Young Talent Rising
The academy’s juniors also made their mark. Khalid Al Asad collected his gold medal in the U73kg category (white belt - juniors), while Ahmed Maytham earned a silver medal in the U60kg category (blue belt - juniors).
Ahmed Al Aseeri also earned a silver medal in the U61kg category (grey belt - juniors). The achievements of our youth highlight the promising future of Bahraini jiu-jitsu. With multiple gold, silver, and bronze medals, Bahrain’s martial artists continue to bring honor to their nation, proving that they are a force to be reckoned with on the international stage.
