The Bahrain Olympic Committee organized a heartfelt reception for the national U15 basketball team, who were recently crowned in the Gulf Championship held in Qatar.

The young athletes clinched the title with a decisive 70-52 victory over Kuwait in the final match. Yesterday, the team arrived at Bahrain International Airport to a grand welcome.

The jubilant team was met with flowers and enthusiastic cheers from supporters, including Hussein Al-Samahiji, President of the Al-Ahli Club Association, and Younis Salman, President of the Al-Hidd Club Association.

The atmosphere was further charged with celebratory banners carried by the players’ families.

Leadership Congratulated Captain Walid Al Alawi extended his congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa for their unwavering support of Bahraini sports.

He praised the dedicated efforts of Bahrain’s government and recognized the role of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, and His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, President of the General Sports Authority, in advancing the nation’s sporting success.
