Shaikh Khalid orders rewards for Bahrain’s top athletes of 2022

His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee has instructed the General Sports Authority to distribute achievement rewards to all athletes who contributed to the success of Bahraini sport in 2022.

This recognition is part of Shaikh Khalid’s dedication to recognising athletes who have excelled in various competitions, showcasing Bahrain’s growing influence in regional and global sports.

The directive reflects Shaikh Khalid’s ongoing support for the Kingdom’s sports sector and his determination to reward athletes for their role in elevating Bahrain’s standing.

It is expected to motivate athletes to strive for continued success and to maintain Bahrain’s prominence in the sporting world. Dr Abdulrahman Sadiq Askar, CEO of the General Sports Authority (GSA), on behalf of the sports community, thanked Shaikh Khalid for ordering the distribution of achievement rewards to national team players. 

He noted that the GSA has made the necessary arrangements to carry out the directive and will begin handing out the rewards to the honoured athletes in the upcoming days.
