Bahrain’s Abbas Ali Ihsan earns top honors in U20 Volleyball

The West Asia U-20 Volleyball Championship recently concluded, celebrating the region’s top young talent.

Among the standout players, Bahrain’s Abbas Ali Ihsan was recognized as one of the best in the tournament, securing a spot as a top performer in position 4.

His skill on the court has brought pride to Bahrain, showing the nation’s commitment to developing young volleyball stars.

The UAE’s Khalifa Al Sisi was named the best setter, and his teammate Desiny Lomboto took the award for best player in position 2. Saudi Arabia’s Hasan Al Salam and Ali Hasan Al Jabr were acknowledged for their outstanding performances in positions 4 and 3, respectively, with Sami Tarek from the UAE also excelling in position 3.

The best libero title went to Saudi Arabia’s Badr Awad Al Awami, and Saudi Arabia’s Rashad Abu Al Khair claimed the most valuable player award. Abbas Ali Ihsan’s recognition is a significant achievement for Bahrain, spotlighting the nation’s growing reputation in volleyball.

His performance reflects the strength of Bahrain’s sports programs in nurturing young talent. As one of the best players in the tournament, Abbas has set a high standard for future Bahraini athletes to follow.
