Bahrain’s junior handball team heads to Amman for 10th Asian Championship

Bahrain’s national junior handball team will depart to Jordan today for the 10th Asian Men’s Youth Handball Championship.
The tournament will start on Tuesday and run until mid-September, serving as a key qualifier for the 2025 World Youth Championship in Slovenia.
The team is led by manager Mohammed Al-Shuweikh, with head coach Raed Al-Marzouq at the helm. The coaching staff also includes assistant coach Ahmed Tarada, goalkeeping coach Makram Al-Messawi, technical analyst Qasim Mohammed, and physiotherapist Kareem Hassan, all of whom have played crucial roles in preparing the team for this competition.
The final roster of 18 players represents some of the best junior talent in Bahraini handball. The squad includes Mohammed Jafar, Ali Abdullah, Fadel Abbas, Wadi Helal (Al-Deir Club), Salman Hameed, Mahmood Jaleel, Haidar Mohammed, Qasim Mohammed (Barbar Club), Abu Zar Jafar, Ahmed Eid, Abbas Hussain, Ali Sami (Samaheej Club), Ali Fayed, Mohammed Haitham (Al-Ettifaq Club), Mohammed Tarada, Mahdi Jafar (Al-Ahli Club), Mohammed Shamlouh, and Sayed Ahmed Al-Falahi (Tublat Club). The team’s performance in Amman will be watched closely as they aim to secure their place in the 2025 World Youth Championship.
